There's simply no shortage of awe and beauty in the deserts of Utah. On the less-traveled path along quiet Highway 24 is Capitol Reef National Park, one of the finest parks with mind-blowing hiking to keep you busy for days. Just off the highway you can find the trailhead for Hickman Natural Bridge. The one mile to Hickman Bridge might be short, but it's a mile of jaw-dropping sandstone enchanting views every step of the way. Energetic kids should be able to handle hiking the short trail, though it is steep in places and largely unshaded. Hickman bridge stands 125' high and stretches its arms 130' across. Awesome.
